Choosing A Realtor
Choosing a Realtor, the right one for YOU, is more important than you may think.
We all know that buying a home can be a difficult process.
Often times it can be very stressful and overwhelming. After all, for most of us, it is one of the largest financial decisions we will make in our lives.
Choose ONE Realtor
It is a good idea to find one good Realtor that will work for you. They should be able to stave off some of your stress by handling the many situations that arise - calmly, professionally and quickly.
Good communication and experience is key. Making the wrong choice can cost you thousands of dollars. Be sure to choose a Realtor that is an EXCLUSIVE BUYER'S AGENT to represent your interests when you are buying real estate.
You do NOT get a better deal just because you call the listing agent of a property that you are interested in. Remember they were hired by the seller.
Realtors work together, so most any Realtor you choose will have access to all MLS listings.
Realtor Must Haves - Choosing a Realtor
Experienced Agents: Don't expect a good agent to drive you around until you have been Pre-qualified. It is also important for you to go one step further and actually get approved for the loan. There is a DIFFERNCE between the two. You will be in the best negotiating position once you are a Qualified buyer.
Your Realtor may ask all the right questions - there are more!
Try to answer questions that your Realtor asks you in full and honestly. If those answers change as time passes, it is IMPERATIVE to keep your Realtor informed of your change in thoughts or mindset.
In other words if you are not familiar with the market, you will always wonder when it's time to make an offer - is there any thing else I should look at before I make this decision. That can be a real stumbling block for buyers and they may miss out on the home they should buy - simply by waiting too long to make a decision.
Try not to get emotionally attached to a home. You will be able to make better decisions if you are not dealing with that.
The right mindset and the right Realtor will help make the home buying process easier, if you let them.
